    THE MISSION

    Girls deserve a voice in this world. And who better to give them one than girls?

    Our mission is to be the voice for girls whose rights by birth have been taken cruelly and injustly. We will advocate for a greater equality for females whether through the right for an education, guidance for more support in a career in STEM, or the aid for girls that are abused or at a disadvantage compared to males. We will promote fundraisers and ideas to provide resources for women to have equal opportunities for their intellectual, social, and economic pursuits as well as raise awareness of the inequality adolescent girls and women face all over the world.

    Difficulties in Developing Countries

    "The second most common cause of death for girls between the ages of 15-19 is complications from pregnancy and childbirth.

    Girls between the ages of 10-14 are five times more likely to die in pregnancy or childbirth than women aged 20-24.

    75% of HIV-infected youth between the ages of 15-24 are girls.

    50% of all sexual assaults worldwide are against girls 15 or younger.

    One in seven girls in developing countries is married before the age of 15 (excluding China)." (Girl Up)

    What can we do?
